Graham and I have been farming our 1200-acre sheep and beef property for 22 years at Tuapeka West which is situated 20km from Lawrence and 40km from Balclutha in South Otago in the heartland of New Zealand's scenic South Island.
In the last ten years we have embraced organic, biological and regenerative farming principles. We believe that good farming practises that build soil carbon are the answer to off-setting our carbon emissions. We firmly believe that farming can be the solution not the problem to our environmental issues.
We have created biodiversity by planting both native and indigenous trees. This provides shelter, is aesthetically pleasing and enhances the bird life. We enjoy a variety of native birds here including the Wood Pigeon, Tuis and Bell Birds. We have retained native pockets of bush some of which has been placed into a covenanted area for regeneration.
We look forward to welcoming you to Hunter Farm.
Pam & Graham Hunter
